After many horrendous stories I've heard from fellow New Yorkers about the brokers and how: many are just in it for the buck; I wanted to search for an apartment on my own and prevent any ridiculous fees. I was hoping to do all of the leg work and just move in on my own! Unfortunately, I could not do it.
